The Guaranteed Admission Agreement for nursing provides a pathway for students to progress from the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing degree directly to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BS Completion Program) at Virginia Commonwealth University. To be guaranteed admission, a student must: 1) complete the AAS in Nursing degree; 2) earn a minimum cumulative college-level GPA of 3.0; 3) earn a minimum grade of “B” in all the required nursing (NSG) classes for the AAS degree; and 4) earn a minimum grade of “C” in all the other required classes for the AAS and AS degrees.

- monitor and record patients’ needs and changing conditions.
- administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- educate individuals on self-care, including maintaining health and preventing illness/injury.
